Method Validation Training on the December 5th – 7th 2018
Validation is the formal process that provides objective evidence that methods of analysis are fit for
purpose and provides the necessary data to ascertain this. The course provides the tools to plan and
carry out effective validation studies. It cannot be guaranteed that data will be fit for purpose unless the
performance of the test method has been studied and demonstrated to be adequate.
Demonstrate that your laboratory results are reliable, secure and are fit-for-purpose;
Assess instrument, reagents and control materials objectively to ensure method(s) is/are in statistical control;
Establish performance characteristics of all methods in your laboratory;
Determine the deviation scaling in your laboratory based on uncertainty of measurement that minimizes the combined costs of analysis and the fiscal penalties associated with incorrect decisions?
